An Unconventional (and Exciting) Career Path

When I started my undergraduate degree in Psychology, my goal was to be a grief counselor. However, after chasing and landing a dream role as a case manager for a major Children’s Hospital, I came to realize that it wasn’t my best fit. At first I was devastated because I felt like I had wasted years of my life; but once I decided to transfer my skill set into different industries I embarked on an exciting and rewarding career journey. Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to work in some awesome and fulfilling professions including: banking, healthcare, education, hospitality and training.

People often ask how I was able to move seamlessly across different career fields. Well, the truth is that I’ve developed unique strategies that align my resume, interview techniques and personal brand. This combination (along with some good ‘ol fashioned hard work) has opened exciting doors and allowed me to successfully follow my passions.

Throughout the years, I’ve helped others set and achieve their own goals through one-on-one coaching, group workshops and public speaking. My style can best be summarized in this analogy - I’ll be the boat, if you’ll be the oars. That is, I can provide you with effective strategies, personalized feedback and genuine support - but YOU have to be willing to put in the work. You will be responsible for implementing the advice, completing the assignments and being in the driver’s seat of your success. You can do this!
